Celebrity divorces can provide valuable lessons for the average woman going through a separation, according to a new book.
Fair Share Divorce for Women offers advice to women dealing with a divorce, and suggests that the increased attention paid to the break-ups of famous couples is leading to a better cultural awareness of separations, divorce proceedings and pre-nuptial agreements.
Author Kathleen Miller asserts that as a result women can glean a lot of valuable information to help then during their own divorce from the coverage of celebrities, such as how to regain a sense of self, to deal with gossip and how to manage the financial side of the separation.
She writes: "Understand that divorce is a team sport. Celebrities have huge teams of attorneys, publicists, accountants, nannies and mediators when they announce their divorces.
"The average woman going through a divorce may not need all of these specialists, but she definitely should have a financial adviser, therapist and career coach on her team in addition to an attorney."
