Wife of Britney's 'lover' files for divorce

The wife of the man thought to have been in a recent relationship with Britney Spears over recent weeks has filed for divorce.

Adnan Ghalib's wife, Azlynn Berry, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for wanting the marital separation, which would bring an end to the couple's five year marriage.

They have no children, though Now reported that, despite having being rumoured to have separated a year ago, they were still together.

However, one of Ghalib's friends told the magazine that Spears' arrival on the scene soon changed the situation.

"'Adnan and Azlynn were very much a married couple. They loved each other," the un-named source said.

"They lived together as man and wife, they had a social life together and they shared a chequebook. They had plans for their future."

The website added that Berry wants Ghalib to pay both spousal support and her lawyer's fees.
