The pressures of day-to-day life often mean that people have more things to do and less time in which to do them. For many this means no time to enter the world of dating, but thanks to the internet, it is increasingly possible to find a partner via a website.
As a result, more and more people are turning to the web rather than traditional dating outlets such as bars and clubs when searching for that special someone. And to help those looking for love online, Molly Rose, of web-based dating agency eRomance.com, has made a list of suggestions for those looking online for a partner, comprised of the dating dos and the dating don'ts.
Ms Rose asserts that if you are using an online dating site, then first and foremost you should "maintain decorum", by using inoffensive language and being considerate of others' personal space. She also suggests that it's important to create an attractive profile.
Moreover, she advises that you should look for "true compatibility", and try not to be attracted to people simply because of the way they look.
In terms of dating's don'ts, Ms Rose says that any misleading or false information on your profile is a definite no. She also recommends that online daters should not take any rejection personally, adding: "At times your advances may be denied or ignored. Do not take it as the end of the world. There are many fish out there in the ocean. It's better to be clear about your status, than be in a state of limbo as to where you stand."
