Third time lucky for divorced pair

A couple who have been married and divorce twice before have tied the knot again on a beach in Jamaica

A couple who have been married and divorce twice before have tied the knot again on a beach in Jamaica.

Steve and Tina Potter from Tamworth, Staffordshire, had their third wedding on May 18th this year, 29 years after they first exchanged vows in a church when they were both just 17 years old. The couple had two children, Nathan and Natasha, but their first union ended in 1981.

However, by 1984 they had fallen for each other a second time round and they decided to get married again. This time the couple chose to wed in a registry office rather than a church, although they did so exactly six years to the day that they first got married on January 14th.

Mr and Mrs Potter had a third child together in 1985 and while their second marriage managed to last six years longer than the first, the couple divorced again in 1984. And yet when they met up at the wedding of Mr Potter's sister in 1997 they found themselves attracted to each other once again, rekindled their romance, and planned their third big day.

"We must be soulmates. There's something that always draws us back together. Someone once said about us, 'They can't live with each other and can't live without each other'," Mrs Potter told the Sun.

"We've been together ten years this time round. I believe that's how we'll stay."ADNFCR-988-ID-18184305-ADNFCR
