Reese won't rush into 2nd marriage

Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon does not think that diving head first into a second marriage so soon after the end of her first is a particularly good idea, media reports suggest

Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon does not think that diving head first into a second marriage so soon after the end of her first is a particularly good idea, media reports suggest.

The Walk the Line star and her former husband Ryan Philippe officially divorced last month and it seems that her new beau Jake Gyllenhaal is keen to move their relationship to the next level.

It is thought that the couple, who met while filming the movie Rendition, recently enjoyed a romantic holiday in Rome where Gyllenhaal asked Witherspoon to marry him.

However, the mum-of-two did not feel ready to get married again and turned him down.

A source told the National Enquirer: "Reese says it is just too soon after her divorce from Ryan to think about marrying again. She is madly in love with Jake, but her divorce just became final, and she doesn't want to rush into anything.

"Reese wants to take things very slowly because of her two young children. She doesn't want anything to upset or disrupt them. It took her a while to introduce them to Jake - she didn't want them to know they were a couple until they were definitely serious about each other. They are madly in love. They really are the perfect couple."
