The popularity of an online dating site has been boosted thanks to its presence on social network Facebook.
IamFreeTonight.com has seen a dramatic rise in the number of people who have applied for membership since an IamFreeTonight tool was made available to Facebook. The application allows users to show fellow Facebookers whether or not they are free to go on dates, and also lets them select activities for dates such as going for a coffee or going to a bar.
It is also possible for users to invite friends along to double date, should they not want to go on their own. More than 13,000 Facebook users have added the application to their profiles so far.
IamFreeTonight.com is run by eTwine Holdings, Inc, and Clifford Lerner, eTwine's chief executive officer, said: "Exposure of our unique and fun features such as Date Now! and Wingman to the Facebook user base represents a major step forward in the evolution of our company.
"We have noticed a sharp increase in our membership since the Facebook application was installed and we hope this growth continues as Facebook users become more familiar with our application."
