A website has been launched by a former family lawyer from the US which offers free advice to women who are separated, divorced, or going through a divorce.

Called The Modern Woman's Divorce Guide, this online resource contains practical information and help which would previously only be available to those in the legal profession and also advice from women who have been through a divorce themselves. The site's creator Helene Taylor, who is also divorced, believes that women in the modern world need as much information regarding the legality of divorce as possible, and wanted to use her expertise to help them.

Ms Taylor said: "While I was practicing family law in California and Hawaii, I witnessed the plight of divorcing women everyday. I saw the pressing need for straightforward guidelines that they could use to confront and overcome the legal and personal challenges they were facing.

"This knowledge motivated me to find a way to get that critically important information to as many women as I could, regardless of their circumstances. That is how The Modern Woman's Divorce Guide was born."

Questionnaires, worksheets, a blog, a members' forum and articles written by women in various stages of divorce are among some of the many features on the site.ADNFCR-988-ID-18190029-ADNFCR
