She may be without a legal team, but soon-to-be-divorced heather Mills has acquired a new PR advisor.
The 39-year-old former model has promoted her US spokesperson Michele Elyzabeth to the position of chief press adviser to replace the previous occupier of the role, Phil Hall.
Mr Hall quit after Mills gave a slew of TV, radio and newspaper interviews about her divorce battle with Sir Paul McCartney in which she is widely regarded to have embarrassed herself with emotional outbursts.
Speaking about her employer, Ms Elyzabeth told Reuters: "I don't understand what it is about people that make them hate her so much. She's a decent human being that really does not deserve this kind of treatment from the press. She's truly a good person."
According to the News of the World, the animal-rights activist has tapes of conversations that she had with her estranged husband which paint him in a very bad light.
Mills and McCartney married in 2002 and have a four-year-old daughter together called Beatrice.
