The wife of MP Andrew Pelling has said that she does not want to return to her husband, saying that it would be "impossible" for them to live with one another again.
In comments to the Telegraph, Ms Pelling, who is pregnant, said that she has no desire to bring up their unborn child in their south Croydon home.
The announcement comes following accusations that the Conservative MP has assaulted his partner.
"I'm going to support the baby along with my mum and dad. It's not all bad. We will just get through it, I know I can be a good mum to the baby," she told the publication.
"I know I can support it, which is a lot more than some women are left with. Some women cannot speak English or have no qualifications, that would be horrendous."
A Metropolitan Police statement earlier in the week told of the arrest of a 40-something south London man on September 18th. The arrest was associated with allegations of assault.
