Mel gets into the swing of things

Melanie Brown, also known as Scary Spice, is one lady who certainly proves there's plenty of life after divorce.

The feisty female is taking part in hit reality show Dancing with the Stars in the US, and she is going down a storm.

The star, who is dancing with Maksin Chmerkowskiy, was awarded 24 points out of 30 by the judges and complemented on her insatiable "hip action".

Speaking about her dance partner, Mel said the pair shred plenty of things in common, especially their "straight talking" natures.

"I saw Mak and he was a little bit rude and you know what, and then I realized it's just passion," she revealed, reports the Daily Mail.

"I'm the same way. People get me confused with my straight talking as being offensive and rude."

Mel, whose marriage to Jimmy Gulzar ended in divorce in 2000. Her recent re-marriage after divorce to movie producer Stephen Belafonte in June this year was a quiet affair.
