Sir Paul McCartney is back on speaking terms with his estranged wife Heather Mills and is planning on meeting up with her for his 65th birthday, sparking rumours that their divorce battle is on a hiatus.
The legendary performer will celebrate the landmark occasion on June 18th and according to a reports in the Daily Mirror, Mills will pay him a visit at his country mansion in East Sussex with their three-year-old daughter Beatrice, and present him with a gift and a birthday cake.
A source close to the couple told the paper: "Before [Heather] went to America[to take part in the TV programme Dancing with the Stars], if Paul phoned she would hand it over to Beatrice without saying a word, or she would get the nanny to answer the phone if she thought it was him calling. Now she talks to him, asks how he is and makes general civil conversation.
"Compare how things are now with a couple of months ago, when they did not exchange a word with each other, to have them talk to each other in a normal way - and not just about access arrangements for Beatrice and things directly relating to her welfare - is amazing. While it has not been called off, I would say the divorce has effectively been placed on hold."
The former Beatle filed for divorce from Mills in July 2006, after four years of marriage, as a result of "irreconcilable differences".
