Brendon Fraser has separated from his wife Afton Smith after nine years of marriage.
The US actor, well known for his roles in The Mummy and The Mummy Returns, is thought to have separated from his spouse in an amicable fashion.
Fraser, 39 and Smith confirmed their marital separation yesterday (Thursday, December 27th).
According to a statement released by the couple's agent, they are going to stay friends despite no longer being in a relationship.
Ina Treciokas said: "They continue to maintain a close and caring friendship."
Fraser married 40-year-old Smith in September 1998 in a ceremony held in the grounds of the Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles. They have three children together; five-year-old Griffin Arthur, Holden Fletcher, three, and Leland Francis, aged 19 months.
