A British heiress has started divorce proceedings following claims that actress Lindsay Lohan had sex with her rocker husband Tony Allen, while the two attended a rehabilitation clinic.

Lohan has been blamed for the marital breakdown between the Dead Stays Alive front man and his wife, Stephanie, following the surfacing of reports on the internet concerning their alleged fling at the Cirque Lodge Clinic in Utah.

Mrs Allen is quoted in the News of the World as saying: "Upon my husband's return from rehabilitation I was bombarded by calls alerting me to the fact that my husband's conduct with another women was on the internet and in gossip magazines."

The heiress, whose family has an estimated fortune of £720 million from the Linpac packaging company which makes boxes for McDonalds, said that her three-year marriage was "irretrievably broken", filing for divorce on the grounds of "adultery" and "cruel treatment".

She also accused her husband of "habitual drug addiction" claiming that she should retain custody of their eight-month old twins.

If the proceedings are finalised, then both Stephanie and Tony Allen could be left looking for a new relationship after divorce. Lohan, aged 21, is currently still in the rehab clinic.
