Jamelia harbours ex hopes

Singer Jamelia has revealed that she hasn't ruled out getting back together with former love Darren Byfield, with whom she has a daughter.

The 26-year-old pop star and Bristol City footballer Byfield went their separate ways in August after a three-year-relationship.

But the Superstar songstress thinks it may not be the end for the pair. "We are having some heart-to-heart talks at the moment," the People reports her as saying. "We still both care about each other."

The couple split last month amid rumours that 30-year-old Byfield had been unfaithful, despite the fact they had hinted at wedding plans.

But Jamelia denied anyone else was involved. "Cheating is inexcusable," she told the Sun. "But that is not the situation I was in."

The couple welcomed their daughter, Tiani, back in October 2005. Jamelia has an older daughter, Teja, who was born in 2001.
