I heard it through the radio

Britney Spears certainly seems to know a thing or two about ending a relationship, having two failed marriages under her belt at the young age of 25.

However, what she may not be quite so clued on is how to inform an estranged partner that the love affair is well and truly over.

According to the new girlfriend of her ex-husband Kevin Federline, Spears did not deem it necessary to inform her spouse that she wanted to divorce him and the first he heard of it was via a news broadcast on the radio.

Speaking to Closer magazine, Nicole Narain revealed that the divorce came as a bit of shock, the World Entertainment News Network reports.

She told the publication: "Kevin didn't even know she'd filed the divorce papers until he heard it on the radio."

Spears filed for divorce from dancer Federline, with whom she has two children, in November 2006 citing "irreconcilable differences". They finalised their separation in July this year and the Hit Me Baby One More time singer was awarded custody of sons Jayden James and Sean Preston. However, following various personal problems Federline was awarded custody on October 1st, 2007.
