Heather Mills has sold her nine-bedroom house in east Sussex to pay off debts accrued during her divorce battle with Sir Paul McCartney.
According to media reports, the former model has sold her home in Robertsbridge to cover legal bills of £1.5 million.
She is said to have sold the house for £3.25 million, the same price she paid for it, and as such did not make any profit. It is thought that Mills is to collect the £500,000 deposit she put down when she first bought the house and then move back to Brighton, where she had previously lived.
Mills, 39, separated from Beatles legend McCartney in 2006 and the couple have yet to agree on a divorce settlement.
They are due to appear in court later next month to try and reach an agreement.
Mills, who has a four-year-old daughter with Macca, 65, is rumoured to have been dropped by her divorce lawyers following various negative public outbursts in which she criticised the musician and his family.
