Sir Paul McCartney's estranged wife Heather Mills has spoken out about the couple's divorce and angrily accused the British press of forcing her to live "in a prison".
The 39-year-old made her comments during an appearance on the GMTV breakfast show earlier today (Wednesday, October 31st) and said that media intrusion had ruined her life.
In tears, she said that she had been the victim of a "hate campaign" and compared her "persecution" by some newspapers and magazines to that of Kate and Gerry McCann and the late Princess Diana.
Former model Mills, who has a four-year-old daughter with Beatles legend Macca, went on to say that she is in fear of her life after receiving death threats.
She told the presenters: "The police have said I've had death threats from a certain underground group. I live in fear for my life."
Mills and McCartney married in 2002 but separated after just four years of marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences".
