Michael Douglas and stunning Welsh actress Catherine Zeta Jones have such a strong marriage because they have so many shared interests.
That's according to the Oscar winner, who has revealed that he was initially attracted to Zeta Jones because so many of her recreational habits are the same as his, including golf and crossword puzzles.
Interestingly, the 68-year-old added that he and his wife - who he has two children with - don't like to sit down and watch a good film together despite the fact that they have both carved out successful careers in the business.
Speaking to the Daily Express, he said: "We share the same birthday. We both like golf. We both like to do the crossword puzzle. We both love the news. Neither of us is a big movie fan. We like making movies but we do have to make an effort to watch them. We're big on kids' movies, though."
Douglas did say though that he loves parenting and is very involved with the lives of son Dylan, seven, and four-year-old daughter Carys.
"I go to school events and recitals and all that stuff. I pick them up after school. I love it. It keeps me out of trouble. We spend a lot of time together as a family unit."
