Kevin Federline's ongoing custody battle with Britney Spears is to do with the children's well-being and not money, according to his lawyer.
Mark Vincent Kaplan, wannabe rapper Kevin's lawyer, has denied recent reports that Brit's ex is after more financial maintenance after divorce.
"As I've said, I know where to find the courthouse and what to do when I get there," he told E! News. "If Mr Federline had wanted to increase child support, it would be very easy to achieve and would have been requested long before now."
Mr Kaplan served one of the 25-year-old singer's best friends, Sam Lufti, with a subpoena earlier this month, in order to get him to testify as to her behaviour around her children.
"Mr Federline's purpose in bringing this action continues to be one that is based upon the best interest of the children as his highest priority," he added.
Britney, meanwhile, shrugged off rumours that she is pregnant by music producer JR Rotem to celebrate her birthday over the weekend. The star spent the evening at a party hosted by Sharon Stone and also attended by Paris Hilton.
