A divorced woman who had recently started a new relationship has been found dead at her home in Cumbria.
Nicola Bisset's body was discovered at her home in the quite village of Appleby-in-Westmorland which she shared with her two teenage children.
The 52-year-old was divorced from her husband Christopher Bulloch, the retired head teacher of a local primary school, and neighbours believe that she had recently begun seeing a man who they had seen visiting her at her home, the Northern Echo reports.
North Yorkshire Police was initially alerted to the crime, according to Cumbria police. Officers who arrived at the scene found Ms Bisset lying dead on the floor. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
A man from Ayrshire was arrested in Penrith, which is around ten miles from the victim's home, on suspicion of murder and was being held on Sunday, October 28th.
Speaking to the paper, a Cumbria force spokesman said: "A suspect is still in custody at Carlisle and is being questioned by detectives."
