Divorce the 'best thing' for Rock

Kid Rock has spoken out about the scuffle that took place between him and Tommy Lee at the MTV Video Music Awards, adding that he is glad he divorced Pamela Anderson.

The musician became involved in a ruckus with the Motley Crue drummer during Alicia Keys' performance and the pair had to be removed from the event.

Speaking to KROQ radio, Rock claimed that Lee had been "disrespectful" towards him over a "lot of years".

But he denied that Pamela Anderson, to whom both he and Lee have been married, had anything to do with the row.

"It had absolutely zero to do with Pam," Access Holiday reports he said. "The best thing I did was file for that divorce. And you have to go through these things to realise that."

The couple were married on a boat in St Tropez after a whirlwind romance in July of this year. They split just three months later.

Anderson and Lee were married in 1995 and after a tumultuous relationship finally divorced in 1998. The couple have two sons, 11-year-old Brandon and nine-year-old Dylan.
