Renowned British comedian and actor John Cleese is to go through a marital separation with his third wife.
Cleese has been married to psychotherapist Alyce Faye Eichelberger for more 19 years and it is believed that no one else is involved and the split is amicable.
A source told the Daily Telegraph: "They just have felt that the relationship is not going to continue and I think they are very sad but fairly resolved about it."
According to the paper, the couple's decision follows a "melancholy" time for Cleese who has recently had to deal with the death of several close friends.
The Monty Python star has no children with Eichelberger, although they both have children from previous relationships.
The 68-year-old was first married to his Fawlty Towers writing partner and co-star Connie Booth, from 1968 to 1978. He then married Barbara Trentham in 1981, before getting a divorce nine years later.
