Denmark's Prince Joachim has set the date for his wedding to Marie Cavallier
The youngest son of Queen Margrethe II will exchange vows with his fiancee on May 24th, 2008, the palace announced on Wednesday (November 21st).
Mogeltonder Church will be the setting for the couple's big day, which is located at South Jutland's, in close proximity to Schackenborg Castle, the prince's royal residence.
This will be the second marriage for Prince Joachim, who was previously married to Hong Kong-born Alexandra Manley. They officially obtained a divorce in 2005 and the former couple now share custody of their two children, Felix and Nikolai.
Following the wedding, French-born Cavallier will gain the title Her Royal Highness Princess Marie, the Associated Press reports.
She will apply for Danish citizenship and will also join the Evangelical-Lutheran Church of Denmark.
The couple enjoyed a two-year relationship before their engagement was announced on October 3rd this year.
