Britney's divorce song

Britney Spears certainly knows a thing or two about failed relationships - and now the troubled singer has decide to release a song about her latest failed marriage.

The 25-year-old and her second husband Kevin Federline recently went through a marital separation and the couple's split was anything but acrimonious.

Spears recently lost custody of their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James - although she has been granted visitation rights - and now it seems that she has penned a song which berates her former spouse for only being interested in cars, women and money.

The song will feature on her new album Blackout, which is due to be released on October 30th, and has been given the title Why Should I be so Sad. It has been produced by rapper Pharrell, who believes that the blonde performer's new album will prove to her doubters that she is still capable of making great pop songs.

Speaking to US publication People magazine, he said: "At the end of the day, she is a sweet person. She's just made a couple of decisions that none of us would necessarily agree with, but you try being that age and living under that kind of pressure."

A source added that they believe "the song is definitely about Britney and Kevin's relationship when they were married".

Spears, whose behaviour has reportedly become increasingly bizarre in the last few months, is hoping to enjoy a career come-back with her latest musical offering.
