Britney Spears has been told by a judge that she must undergo drug testing and parenting lessons as part of her bid to retain custody of her children.
LA court commissioner Scott Gordon said that on the basis of evidence suggesting "habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol", the singer should be tested twice a week.
He also ruled that the 25-year-old should work with a parenting coach to help her cope with her two sons, two-year-old Sean Preston and one-year-old Jayden James.
Both she and former husband Kevin Federline, who is battling to gain primary custody of the boys, must also refrain from using alcohol or drugs for 12 hours prior to taking care of the children.
Despite this, the former pop princess was spotted out and about in LA, hitting several clubs and partying until the early hours.
A source also revealed to Us Weekly magazine recently that "dealing with the kids after they come back from Britney's is really hard on Kevin. It takes him three days to get them back on any type of schedule".
