If your thoughts are turning towards making a contribution to the divorce rate or if you are already divorced these easy to follow steps will guide you towards a life after divorce of which you could only dream. So listen up, this is for you.
Divorce advice is everywhere
The internet and indeed everywhere else is full of advice about everything from how to keep chickens to the art of motorcycle maintenance. Somewhere between these two there is a whole world of advice about divorce - how to do it and what to do after you've done it.
Given that we claim to know a thing or two about this kind of stuff we thought we would assembly the combined wisdom of the world and produce the definitive advice upon how to live the perfect life before, during and after divorce. Before we start it is important to understand that in order to achieve the life you really want, it has to be defined. Only by doing this can you know whether you have reached your goal.
Definition of the life you really want
There are many lives to be led, as many as there are people on the planet. Choosing your particular blend of ingredients to create your perfect life is a major task in itself. What parts do money, love, friendship, a satisfying career, family life or fly fishing play in your ideal life. Assemble all your chosen ingredients, decide the proportion of each required and the means by which they should be blended, in a Magimix or lightly folded together with a fork.
How to get there
OK so that's the life you are aiming to have. Now how to get there? This is where we mobilised the vast resources of Flaming Spear Heavy Industries (the global internet media empire and proud owners of MyLifeAfterDivorce) to research the wisdom of the world from Plato to Einstein and from particle physics to Dadaism. No book was left unopened, no website unvisited and no crevice of knowledge unexplored.
Teams from around the world laboured long into the night to define the seven and a half steps which lead to the life you really want. They were lead by a crack group of senior managers from our new World Headquarters located deep in the rural splendours of Devon.
Here's the answer
There isn't one. After seven days and seven nights the global teams on the edge of total exhaustion declared that the answer had not been found nor would it ever be. However, this discovery did reveal the nature of the last half step. Never, ever, believe that there is a simply way to a good and satisfying life. There absolutely isn't. If there was Big Pharma would have made it into a pill and be selling it alongside Viagra at a price which would send the salaries of senior NHS managers even further into the stratosphere.
One small compensation
The best advice that we have come up with is crystallised into four quotations:
The goal of life is living in agreement with nature.
Zeno - Greek philosopher
Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about.
Oscar Wilde - Irish writer and poet
Life is nothing without friendship.
Marcus Tullius Cicero - Roman orator and philosopher
Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
Theodore Roosevelt - 26th President of the United States
We would like to apologise for not discovering the secrets of eternal happiness and peace. We did our best, we tried our hardest but we failed as all who have tried before us have failed. The answer is within us but we cannot do it alone. We need friends, family and lots of helpful advice and support. If we can help just a little then we will have achieved what we set out to do.
